Frequently asked questions about fixed heads

The diffusion head (KD-12, KD-5, KS-2) allows gas to reach the sensor by natural air movement. The extractive (PD-12, PD-14, PE-2, PS-2) sucks the gas sample towards the sensor, useful when the sampling point is far away or in a difficult environment — in those cases it can be combined with our Sampling Panel.

Both are for semiconductor manufacturing. The PS-7 uses a replaceable sensor unit; the PS-8 comes with factory pre-calibrated sensors.

Most do, although it depends on the model and variant: ATEX, IECEx, and TIIS are the most common in this line. Tell us the standard you need to comply with in your plant and we will confirm if the model meets it.

Yes, we directly calibrate the fixed gas detector heads that we distribute, just like the portable detectors.
